Hi, I’m Mary Berg, a Chatham-Kent-based photographer with over 12 years of experience capturing weddings, couples, families, and lifestyle newborn sessions. While I’m based in Southwestern Ontario, I also love to travel for photography.
My Approach
I love a creative approach. I believe photography is more than just photos; it's a connection that makes you feel seen, valued, and comfortable.
My Story
I picked up a camera at 14, always interested in posing people and creating memories. In 2014, I began shooting professionally under the mentorship of my brother Pete, who is now also my business partner. My very first wedding as a second shooter had me hooked, and in 2024 I stepped into full-time photography, which was a leap of faith but so worth it!
Faith and Values
At the heart of my work is my faith. You'll see my quote at the bottom of every page on my website, and I hope you see the light of Jesus reflected in every image I photograph. I give God the Glory with every image I take.
Behind the Lens
I'm a mom, a wife, and an animal lover. I have 3 dogs, some chickens, and a duck. I love going for walks with friends and by myself. I love adventure and road trips. I'm a foodie; I love all sorts of food, but my favourites have to be pad thai and pho.

Second Photographer
Meet my second shooter Pete Hamm.
Pete joined Mary in 2018 and together they have been capturing wedding days as a team ever since. As a second photographer, Pete brings a fresh perspective that adds depth and meaning to their work. His calm presence, eye for detail, and ability to catch moments as they naturally unfold ensure nothing goes unseen. While Mary guides couples and frames the big picture, Pete is right there documenting the angles, emotions, and in-between moments that complete the story.
Beyond photography, Pete is a husband and father of three who loves spending time outdoors and running. His dedication, balance, and steady energy are the same qualities that make him such a valuable part of the team.
Together Mary and Pete ensure every wedding day is fully captured, every emotion, every detail, every memory preserved beautifully for years to come.
Justin Loewen
Lead Videographer & Editor
Justin grew up between Canada and Mexico, and creativity has been a part of his life from a young age. From theater performances and movies to picking up a camera at eleven, he was always drawn to storytelling. At nineteen, he began taking on small video projects, and by twenty-three he was working full time in videography. Now, at twenty-eight, he has filmed countless weddings and projects for businesses, and he still finds meaning in every story he captures.
On a wedding day, Justin focuses on bringing out depth and emotion in the way moments are filmed. His goal isn’t just to document the day but to create something that reflects its beauty and significance. Being married himself, he understands the weight of those moments and approaches each wedding with care, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
Selena Guenter
Assistant & Communications
Selena grew up in Canada and has always loved creativity and the way it shapes how people connect. For many years, she worked as a special education teacher, which taught her the value of organization, patience, and attention to detail. Over time, this turned into a real love for keeping things in order and making sure no detail is overlooked.
That’s part of why Selena enjoys being alongside couples on their wedding day, helping with the little things that make a big difference. From coordinating reception details to assisting with poses and offering natural photo or video prompts, she loves helping the bride feel comfortable, supported, and confident in front of the camera.
In her work, Selena manages communications and keeps everything flowing smoothly so couples can focus on what matters most. Being married herself, she understands how meaningful those moments are and considers it an honor to play a role in capturing them.

Justin & Selena, The Team Behind Alpha
We know what it feels like to fight for love. Our story began in Justin’s hometown in northern Chihuahua, but it was during a beach trip with friends that we really connected. Conversations stretched long, and what started as a friendship grew into something deeper. Life soon pulled us in different directions, and for two years we lived in separate countries. Long flights, late-night calls, and too many goodbyes taught us what commitment really means. In 2023, we finally stood side by side as husband and wife, not because it was simple but because it was worth it.
That’s why we approach weddings differently. To us, a wedding film isn’t just about angles, edits, or music. It’s about honoring the choice two people make to stand by each other. We’ve lived that choice, and it shapes everything we do.
Justin brings the storytelling: years of experience behind the camera, a sharp eye for emotion, and a way of filming that captures the weight and wonder of the day. Selena brings the grounding presence: years of teaching honed her love for organization and detail, and now she uses it to guide couples through their day, making sure everything feels natural, relaxed, and real.
Together, we’re not just documenting your wedding. We’re preserving what it felt like to be there: the nerves, the joy, the steady confidence of two people who chose each other. That’s the difference. That’s why couples choose us.
